As Mandela Day 2025 approaches, there’s no better time to give back, get involved, and make your minutes matter.
This year’s theme, “It’s Still in Our Hands – Fighting Poverty, One Action at a Time”, encourages each of us to continue Madiba’s legacy through real, meaningful acts of kindness. And here at Bless a Baby, we’ve created the perfect opportunity for you to do just that.
Join Our Free 67-Minute Mandela Day Event
We’re opening our doors and our hearts for a hands-on event designed to bring people together and give back in the most personal way. Our 67-minute experience is completely free and promises to leave a lasting impression.
What to Expect at the Event:
- A welcome and introduction to Bless a Baby’s mission and the real impact your support has
- A chance to pack a full Bag of Hope for a newborn in need – we’ll supply everything
- A warm, encouraging space to connect with others and give back with purpose

By simply showing up, you’ll be helping us provide essentials to babies born into vulnerable situations across the country.
Can’t Attend? You Can Still Make a Difference
If you’re unable to attend our Mandela Day event, you can still support our work by making donations of baby essentials or a monetary contribution.
Donate 67 Baby Essentials
We are currently collecting:
- Long-sleeve baby clothes & vests (0–3 and 3–6 months, new or gently used)
- Size 1 & 2 disposable nappies
- Receiving or wrapping blankets
- 100g soap bars for babies and mothers
- 100ml petroleum jelly jars
- Toothbrush and toothpaste sets
Every item donated helps us fill another Bag of Hope for a baby who needs it most.
